Sunscreen, salt water and styling products
Residue from all three builds up at the roots over a week near the beach. The American Academy of Dermatology says people with straight hair and an oily scalp may want to shampoo every day, concentrating the shampoo on the scalp; a professional cleanse sits between those washes and does not replace them.
